Nature Babies Wraps

How to use

All cloth nappies require a waterproof layer to contain liquid and soiling in the nappy. Ideally, this waterproof layer also needs to be breathable so that your babies bottom doesn't get too hot! As a general rule, the more breathable a wrap is, the less waterproof, and vice-versa, (with the exception of wool). The nature babies wraps seem to have got the balance just right. The wet will only start to appear if the nappy needs changing or it has not been fitted properly. When putting the wrap on, ensure that no parts of the nappy are exposed; especially round the back, and the back of the legs. If necessary, tuck the gusset inside the nappy. Use the poppers/Velcro to fit the nappy so that its comfortable for your baby. If you have found marks on your baby then you could be making the wrap too tight, so it may be time to move up a size. You may reach the stage where you will need a larger size wrap for shaped nappies or night-time, but still use a smaller size during the day or for slimmer nappies. The wrap is designed to accommodate most sizes and shapes of babies and nappies. Of course there will always be exceptions, but we have found that most people are able to get on with them. Also remember that your own babies shape will change dramatically as well as their needs, and you may find that a certain style of wrap that didn't suit when they were very small now fits perfectly!

Washing Instructions

Again, it is recommended that these wraps are washed at 40degrees to retain maximum colour and waterproof qualities; however personal experience has not found any adverse effects to washing at 60with the nappies, neither have any colours run. The best advice is to wash whenever possible at 40degrees, and only at 60degrees when absolutely necessary. Remember to do up velcro wraps before washing to avoid them attaching on to other things in the wash and collecting lint. Tumble drying is neither recommended nor necessary. Just hang them up and they will air dry very quickly.
