Terry Squares

How to use

For a boy, you ideally want more padding at the front of the Nappy. With the nappy lying square in front of you, fold one side of the nappy across to the centre. How far you pull it across is determined by the length you require. If using a pouch, you could fold the nappy with the pouch laying crossways underneath to gauge the correct size. Then fold the top and bottom sides in so that the Nappy is folded into thirds. Place the pad into the pouch then into a wrap, or directly into the wrap with a liner.

For a girl, place the nappy diagonally in front of you. Fold the top and bottom corners in to the middle to meet each other. Then, fold the side corners in to determine the length of the Nappy. If you are using a pouch, you could place this crossways under the Nappy to help gauge the correct length. The nappy should resemble the shape of an envelope. Finally, bring the top and bottom sides in so that the nappy is folded into thirds, and place in the pouch then into a suitable wrap, or directly into a wrap with a liner. Washing Instructions (Wallababies Terrys)

These Terrys are robust and will wash well at 60degrees and even up to 90degrees, (although washing regularly at 90 will reduce the life of the nappy, as well as costing you more in energy!) You can wash them at 40degrees, although we recommend you soak them beforehand, in an antibacterial solution e.g. NappyFresh or without chemicals by adding a few drops of Tea Tree Oil to the water. Tumble dry on low or high heat, or better still, stick them outside as they dry very fast!

Washing Instructions (Bright Bots)

As with fleece these should also be washed a couple of times at 40 degrees before use, not only to help prevent colours running, but also to bring the cotton to its maximum thickness and absorbency. Remember not to use fabric softener, as this coats the fibres, decreasing absorbency. Caution is required when washing all six colours together - for the first few washes - so separate accordingly. It is not advisable to soak the colours together, but as there is only one layer of fabric, washing the nappies without soaking will clean them sufficiently. The manufacturers have put a temp of 60degrees on these nappies, though this may result in colours fading quicker than on a 40wash.
